Snappy dresser!

Overalls are always a favorite in this house.

Our neighbors back in Tuscola had a little boy about 10 months older than Cooper. So whenever they would have garage sales, I'd be first in line to pick up boy clothes. This outfit (it's a one-piece, just in case you were wondering) was free -- the boy's dad would never let him wear it, so we got it. It's a bit dandy-looking, I think. But still cute!

This outfit, on the other hand, is the way to dress up for a little boy. Super cute khakis, button up shirt, and sweater vest. Love it!

And this outfit isn't particularly special--in fact, several people thought he was a girl on the day he wore this--but I did want you to see Coop standing. True, he's holding on and also leaning, but still, he's up! Hurray!

Pumpkin Patch Kids

This week, Cooper and I went with Michael, Kristen, and Parker to a local pumpkin patch, mostly for picture-taking. Coop was extremely interested in the grass and dirt and vines on the ground, so he's actually looking at the camera and smiling in very few pictures. Apparently, I need to take the kid outside more.
Oh, and Parker was dressed up like a pumpkin! It's his Halloween costume, but you have to wear it to the pumpkin patch too! Too cute!

Ichabod Coop?

Another variation: Where's the musical fish?

The fish plays short clips of "Sailing, Sailing" and "Hornpipe." We hid it behind a tower of blocks, made it sing, and then waited to see if Coop could find it.

Genius, I tell you. Pure genius.

Then we hid the fish under a diaper rag.

Coop was not fooled.

Firsts of many

First drink from a sippy cup (It actually didn't go as well as this photo makes it seem. I'm not sure he got any liquid out of the cup this time around...)

This is much better -- first Diet Dr. Pepper!
I'm not sure if you've noticed in the last several posts, but Coop no longer has the long wispy hairs that hung down by his ears. I unceremoniously snipped them off with the kitchen scissors. Not a great "first hair cut," so I'm not really counting it. But I did save the little curls I cut off to put in his baby book.

See the light brown circle about two inches above Coop's belly button. Yup. It's Cooper's first bruise. He face-planted forward from a sitting position and landed on a block. The triangle-shaped block, and not the circle block, of course.

Cooper, where's the fan?

So if you ever need help finding the ceiling fan in any particular room, Coop's your man!
