New addition

Meet Baby Z, a foster kiddo staying with us.

He's almost 8 months old and a real sweetheart.

First pediatrician appointment.  Everything looks great!  60% for both height and weight.

Lizzie Velasquez

This school year, the Lawrence library sponsored a Read Across Lawrence program, encouraging everyone to read the book Wonder by RJ Palacio.  Coop and I had read the book, and we saw the movie when it came out earlier.

This last weekend, as part of the Read Across Lawrence program, a motivational speaker Lizzie Velsaquez came to town.  Coop and I (and his friends Eliza and Molly) went to hear her speak.

Wizard of Oz

Cooper is involved in the Lawrence Arts Center's production of the Wizard of Oz.  He's a winkie (the guard at the witch's castle) and an ozian (the residents of the Emerald City).  At rehearsal learning the blocking:

School was closed one day last week due to icy weather.  Coop and I enjoyed the home day.  After sleeping in ridiculously late, Cooper cooked breakfast:
