Deanna Rose Farm

The Deanna Rose Farmstead is a farm and petting zoo in Overland Park. Before we all had to head back to school full-time, we headed out there to check it out. We went on a cloudy morning and really enjoyed walking around the farm. Cooper mostly liked just being able to run (toddle) in any direction and play with whatever he found there.
He did, however, keep coming back to the waterfall.

Under the chin

Sometimes, we'll see Cooper tucking things under his chin into his neck. A crayon, for example:

Or a pool noodle:

Or my watch:

Odd duck, that one.

But he's sweet. Here he is giving Mikey a kiss:

And pushing his wagon to get ready for a ride:

Only two weeks behind...

One candle on half of a cake for Cooper's 1 1/2 birthday (on August 6th):

That's my boy!

And now that he's 18 months old, it's time to start having regular chores:

Peek a boo!

Visiting Lyons

Checking out Grandma's lion collection:

And her treadmill:

At the park:

We've learned that Cooper gets really red out in the heat. He wasn't over-heating, necessarily. It was fairly comfortable in the shade. But his little cheeks were bright red!

Sitting

And reading:

When the boy says he wants puffs, he.wants.puffs.NOW.

She loves me, she loves me not...

Practicing eating with a fork, but mostly just celebrating with enthusiastic "ta-da"s.

And a picture of Lady K, who has the longest hair of anyone in the house and brings lots of pink to our lives:

A-boo!

Cooper loves to play peek-a-boo, which has been shortened to just "a-boo." We play around corners, behind pillows, with our hands. He can even ask the opening question: "Where's Mommy?" or "Where's Cooper?" (but it sounds like "Where's Pooper?" which makes me laugh every time).

I see you!

And with a grocery bag:

On a different note, we started Time Outs. It just so happened we picked the day to start when Coop was wearing his prison outfit. Too perfect!
